Spring’s Song

Spring is singing its song of life. The landscape is alive with color, as lush green resounds through the rolling hills.

Goats and sheep dot the landscape, dots of white are everywhere against the greenness. The aria of the season echoes throughout the countryside, rural beauty illuminated.

I’m pleased to see that 9rules has announced their upcoming rounds for 2008. Anyone interested in submitting their website must do so on these dates:

May 7th

August 6th

November 5th

According to Tyme White, the 9rules blog states that “The round will open at midnight EST on those dates and close 24 hours later.”

Holocaust Remembrance Day

Holocaust Remembrance day…Yom Hashoah…is a holiday that is set aside to remember those who were murdered during the Holocaust, those who survived, and those who fought for survival for themselves and others. This year it takes place on May 2nd.

Why not visit a Holocaust memorial, a cemetery or synagogue, or you might light a candle, recite a prayer or a poem, or read a few pages from an inspirational book, such as a memoir.

Let us not forget all those who died and suffered.

Springing and Singing Along

The garden is beginning to show signs of spring, as blossoms jump out from the ground, alive with color, vibrant tones and contrasts are everywhere.

My tulips are gorgeous, and my rose bushes are thriving. The rain of the past few days has helped the buds to blossom.

Yellows, oranges, pinks, multi-colors all reach upwards to soak in the sun. The photo above is just one very small section in my yard, one of my many, many garden areas.

Butterflies were lighting on the flowers, earlier, this morning, flitting back and forth and looking graceful. Birds chirped, flew back and forth, singing along to the tune of nature. Their songs resounded throughout the yard. Nature was at its finest.

Reach the Heights

Some of us think we have mountains of time to reach the heights of our dreams. Some of us believe that there is no mountain or obstacle we can’t overcome. I look at a the word mountain, and words that immediately come to my mind are: peace, serenity, inspiring, spiritual, beautiful, awesome, nature’s wonder, pure loveliness, magical, mystical, commune with nature, relaxation, mountain retreat, and so many other words indicative of nature’s beauty.
